Our team is going into it's second year at Fenelon Falls Secondary School (FFSS). After competing at the FIRST Championships with only seven members, we're excited to see what we can do this year with a promising group of over thirty. Besides our three teacher supervisors, we are entirely run by students. Everything we do from obtaining sponsorships to the building and programing on the robot from scratch is done by students. Even this snazzy website.

this year's theme
We are still very much in our planning phase. But it's GO TIME, we got our challenge and our mission. Right now our focus is manufacturing and CADing, things students on our team will handle as a group. We have six weeks to completely build and program a robot that goes along with this year's theme - Deep Space, so it can compete in our competition season.

It takes a village to do what we do. Our team consists of all kinds of people. From Grade 9 to 12, every student has a particular place in our team. Some handle the actual construction, and programing - which is labourious. We have groups go door to door proclaiming sponsorships from our local businesses. Some handle budgeting and spreadsheets. Others handle our social media pages. We do some things as a team like fundraise and compete, but each student has a job. You don't need to know how to use an impact gun, Monkey Wrench, or Microsoft Excel to excel here. (Hehe, see what I did there)
